The Global Sport Business Association (GSBA) will be hosting its 2015 Global Sport Business Conference February 6-9, 2015. The conference will be held aboard Royal Caribbean’s “Majesty of the Seas” sailing from the Port of Miami with stops in Coco/Little Stirrup Cay and & Nassau in the Bahamas.
The GSBA is actively involved in promoting scholarly and applied research in the sport industry with a particular emphasis on the global nature of the business of sport and issues associated with minority leadership in sport management. The individuals who will be attending the conference include scholars, university faculty, students, and sport industry professionals. The conference provides the opportunity for participants to present current sport related research and participate in discussion forums on critical issues and topics facing the global sport industry. Topics will include sales and sport marketing; future directions in sport management; employment perspectives and personnel management within the sport industry; management competencies and leadership; legal issues in sport; facility and event management; fund raising; and a variety of other global sport industry related topics.
